How this works
Columbia SC HVAC Repair Pros is a referral service, not an HVAC contractor. We take your details and connect you with a licensed local HVAC company that performs the work. We are paid by the contractor we refer you to, never by you.
What we do
We run this website and answer the phone. When you call or send the form, we take down what is wrong with your system, where you are, and how to reach you — then we pass that to a licensed HVAC contractor working in the Columbia area.
That contractor contacts you, arranges the visit, does the work and bills you. Your agreement for the repair is with them, not with us.
What we do not do
- We do not repair, install or service HVAC equipment. We are not a contractor and hold no trade licence.
- We do not set the contractor's prices, quote work, or take payment from homeowners.
- We do not guarantee an arrival time or a price on a contractor's behalf.
- We do not sell your details on to a list of competing companies. Each enquiry goes to one contractor.
How we get paid
The contractor pays us for the referral. You pay nothing to us, and what you pay the contractor is not increased because the enquiry came through us — their pricing is theirs.
What happens to what you tell us
Calls to our line are answered by an automated assistant and are recorded so the details are captured accurately. What you give us — name, contact details, address and a description of the fault — goes to the contractor so they can carry out the work. See our privacy notice for the rest.
For contractors: what counts as a lead
A lead is qualified, and therefore billable, when all three of the following are true at the moment it is captured.
- A real, reachable contact. The lead includes a contact name and at least one contact method that is valid on its face: a US phone number in a dialable format that is not a placeholder or reserved range, or a well-formed email address. Whether the contact answers the phone is not part of this test.
- An address inside the contractor's stated service area. The lead includes a postal code listed in the contractor's stated service area, or a city or town named in that service area. A lead with no location information at all fails this test.
- An issue matching the contractor's stated trade. The described problem is one the contractor's stated trade covers, identified either by the service the caller selected or by the description they gave.
A lead meeting all three criteria is billable regardless of what happens afterwards - including if the customer does not answer, chooses another contractor, or does not book. A lead failing any criterion is not billable, and is marked as such in the log at the time it is captured, not retroactively.
Every enquiry is logged with a timestamp, the details captured, and the reason it did or did not meet this standard. Contractors we work with get that log, not just an invoice.
